The TR-808 drum machine uses analog synthesis to create its sound. It was one of the first drum machines to allow users to program rhythms instead of using preset patterns.
KIck drums that thud, crispy snares and a distinctive cowbell sound are all part of the 808 and its famous sound. The TR808 had a range of effects including individual level, tuning, attack, decay, and tone controls for some sounds. The 808 also boasted 12 voice polyphony.
